1. Pear and Lemon Verbena Compote
For babies 6-9 mos. – Makes 2 portions – Prep time: 5 minutes – Cooking time: 12 minutes
What you’ll need: 4 small pears , 6 fresh lemon verbena leaves , 1 tablespoon thick crème fraîche
What to do: 1. Peel and dice the pears. 2. Put the lemon verbena leaves into the Nutribaby flavor booster or straight into the steaming basket with the pears. 3. Start a 12-minute cooking cycle. 4. Blend the pears with the verbena leaves and add the cream. 5. Chill in the refrigerator.
Pro Tip: It’s perfectly OK to use herb infusion bags in compotes. To do that, put the bag (that you have moistened beforehand so the steam permeates it more quickly) into the steaming basket. Remove before blending.
2. Caribbean Plantain Puree

What to do: 1. Steam the sweet potato for 20 minutes. 2. After ten minutes, add the finely chopped plantain. 3. After 15 minutes, add the chicken and cook for 5 minutes. 4. When the cooking is over, put the sweet potato, chicken and plantain into the blender bowl and blend. 5. Loosen the mixture up with a few drops of cooking juices if required. 6. Add a pat of butter to the warm purée.
Pro Tip: You can also fry the plantain cut into round slices in a drop of peanut oil, or replace them all together with apples!
