We’ve always been big fans of the clean, modern look; which is why we couldn’t be happier about the comeback of Mid-Century Modern design. The sleek styles, retro vibes, clean-line simplicity… we can’t get enough! And we’re certainly not alone. Thanks to Mr. Don Draper, the mid-century craze has brought back a pretty fierce nostalgia for everything from the fashion to the furniture of the 1950s and 60s. And it doesn’t seem to be going away anytime soon.
Of course, we’re most excited about what this trend means for the nursery. One of our favorite nursery collections of late is the (aptly named) Mid-Century Collection from DwellStudio. From the crib to the dresser, each piece sports an X-shaped base and tapered legs with metal detailing that give a clear nod to the popular style trends of the fifties. (Lovely, isn’t it?) But if you don’t want to go full-on retro in your nursery, try mixing and matching some modern crib bedding to even things out.
Nursery Works Sleepytime Rocker is another vintage-inspired piece that we just can’t get enough of. It sports a great classic style, that can work just as well alongside modern pieces. Plus, you can totally move it into any room of the house, since it doesn’t scream out nursery glider.
Can’t get enough of this style, either?
